22 Oct Village Hall Floor Replacement
The National Lottery Community Fund has recently awarded £20,000 to Cookley
Village Hall to replace a very well worn out floor.
Our Village Hall has a footfall of over 30,000 per year from a range of activities
and events such has keep fit, yoga, parties, weddings and sports teams.
The old floor was wearing out and with our new grant from Community Fund we
have replaced the flooring with new sports oak boards which should last for years
to come. In addition to the £20,000 grant, we have received further funding from
the Bernard Sunley Foundation to complete the work.
We are all very grateful for these grants to keep our village hall up and running for
our community and we have already had compliments from many of the users
such as yoga, pilates, Ceroc
dancing and table tennis.
